Marketing For MLM

When Marketing For MLM, These MLM Marketing Tactics Work Best

Marketing for MLM has changed a lot since 1980 when I first started marketing MLM. Back then, the only way to build your multi level marketing business was by face-to-face personal relationship and referral marketing.

Since the late 90′s the Internet has played an ever-increasing role in MLM, until recently. Now the trend is back to the basics of offline old school MLM network marketing.

The reason so many leaders are migrating their overall marketing strategy back to old school offline methods is simple. That is how the big long-term checks are made.

Am I saying that MLM marketing online is dead? No, I’m not trying to convince you of that. What I am saying is that offline marketing is simple, it is fast and it is stable.
These are all good attributes that online marketing lacks.
Think about Search Engine Optimization and how difficult that skillset is to master. It took me several months to get SEO right. Not because I’m stupid, but because most of the SEO information availble to network marketers is either wrong or incomplete.

I’m confident that I can teach anyone to be an effective SEO expert if they have a technical mindset. The majpr problem with SEO is that duplication is very slow. If I taught you SEO, even with a set of videos, it would take you weeks and even months to gain a flow of leads that would be worthwhile.

Now you, in turn,  teach that to your recruits and they all take weeks and months to activate. That is the definition of slow growth.

This example of slow growth can be applied to any type of online marketing for MLM. Some tactics are faster than others but all online MLM internet marketing is slow to duplicate. This lack of sponsoring velocity is the root of the problem with any MLM online business.

Let’s now contrast all of the challenges of online marketing with offfline marketing.

Offline marketing for MLM is dirt simple in comparison. In the offline world you start by approaching people you already know. You are sharing something good with them. How hard is that? You do it every day anyway, you may as well get paid for it, right? That is the basic concept of offline old school MLM. You get paid to share and opportunity and/or and product line.

With offline multi level marketing MLM you can expose your business to multiple people your first few days marketing MLM. The percentage of people that know you that will join your business is extremely high compared to strangers on the Internet. This is because these people already know you, like you and trust you. Therefore, they will readily accept your marketing message.

With offiline marketing I can get a new recruit started one day and within a week have them at their first leadership status, earning them money that next week. Compare that to online MLM marketing. There is no comparison, offline marketing wins every time!

Am I advising you to scrap your online marketing for MLM? No, but be aware that it truly is “the hard way” of doing things.

A few people have gotten very rich by selling “how to” information products on how to master MLM internet marketing so you can be a success with your MLM online business. The end result has been a lot of people spent a lot of money and time and got very little in return. Was MLM marketng online a big scam? Not altogether, but it certainly has not lived up to its promise for the vast majority of participants (97% or higher are losing money)!

The online multi level marketing business gurus all agree that if you give people what they want (as apposed to what they really need) you can make a lot of money. That’s what the MLM gurus have been delivering to the network marketing community all of these years. What the market wanted. The market has demanded quick, easy solutions.

Here, let me charge you $27.00 to teach you how to use YouTube to create leads for your MLM. or, here, let me charge you $100.00 per month for my MLM coaching club where I will teach you how to easily sponsor people at the touch of a button on autopilot.

Does this sound familiar?

In short, the promise of online MLM has been quick easy results. The reality of online MLM marketing has been far from this promise.

What you want is a quick easy fix to leads and cash flow. What you really need is to build you basic skills of prospecting through referrals, inviting, enrolling and training. The easiest and most productive setting to utilize these basic MLM skills is offline in the real world where solid business relationships and friendships can be built. This is the best way to accomplish marketing for MLM.
